If you have "no place to go," come here!

When he wants your vote, he's there. When you need his help, he's not

I checked Al Jazeera English to see if they had coverage of the WI protests, and unfortunately, they don't. However, they did have a story on our Beloved Leader's campaign swing through WI during the midterms:

He drew thousands of college students at the University of Wisconsin on Tuesday for an outdoor rally aimed at energising young voters who backed him when he swept into the White House in the 2008 presidential election.

But polls show his Democratic party could lose its current majority in congress in the November 2 vote to the rival Republicans, and Obama urged his supporters to build more momentum for the Democrats.

"I need you fired up," he said to loud applause.

"We [would that be "the royal we"?] need you to stay fired up. Because there is an election on November 2 that is going to say a lot about the future - your future and the future of our country.

"We can't let this country fall backwards because the rest of us didn't care enough to fight."

BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!

So, I hope any college students who were at this campaign rally and are now at the Capitol are doing a little reflection. Obama leaving Columbus in his limo just as the union guys were coming in to rally, on the bus, is really the perfect metaphor, isn't it? To be fair, perhaps he just needs some comfortable shoes.....

NOTE I mean, look at this from Obama's new press secretary. How is this supposed to "fire up" anybody but a bankster or the Koch brothers?

“He made his viewpoints known on the situation in Wisconsin the need for people to come together,” [White House spokeshole Carney] added later. “He takes very seriously the fiscal situation that the states find themselves in… and understands it because he understands it at the federal level. But he encourages the parties involved to come together and sacrifice together [haw].”

Except what the unions are being asked to sacrifice is collective bargaining, after they already sacrficed on wages and working conditions, and "coming together" for practical purposes means submitting to Shock Doctrine, which is what Walker did.

And one can't help but notice the contrast between Obama throwing the unions under the bus, and his complete support for the "savvy businessmen" who robbed us all, and who haven't been asked to sacrifice jack squat. "Fired up" by empty calories...
