on cross tabulation.
I'd summarize, but I'd probably screw it up, as it's not my expertise.
However, practically speaking, it's the detail on poll results: what percentage of female likely voters over 65 wear pink underwear, and so on.

My subtle plan...
... was to get some contributorsMR SUBLIMINAL Paul to try to tease out some of these mysterious crosstabs....
[ ] Very tepidly voting for Obama [ ] ?????. [ ] Any mullah-sucking billionaire-teabagging torture-loving pus-encrusted spawn of Cthulhu, bless his (R) heart.

Personally, I think....
...anglachel did a great job of discussing the cross-tabs (which can be easily defined as "categories" of voters broken down into "cohorts" -- "Age" is a category, "18-34" is an Age "cohort".)
I disagree with Anglachel on the most significant question, I thought it was number 8 Is the media rooting for Barack Obama? Rooting for John McCain? Or trying its best to be fair to both?
54% said the media was rooting for Obama, and only 8% said rooting for McCain. (36% said 'trying to be fair to both'). This describes the "Filter" through which voters receive their coverage of the campaign -- and means that over half of Americans will have a tendency to see positive coverage/stories about Obama, and negative coverage/stories about McCain, as influenced by media bias.... and are more likely to disregard those stories. (And conversely, bad news for Obama and good news for McCain is seen as more credible.)
This has got to scare Team Oborg, because it means that their efforts to define McCain negatively aren't going to have a very receptive audience -- and that "dirt on Obama" is going to have a very receptive audience when its covered.
And its an indication of how completely divorced from the perceptions of 'average americans' the fauxgressive blogosphere is -- they still continue to insist that the media is trying to stack the deck for McCain -- but less than 10% of respondents thought that was true. And while both Democrats (59%) and Liberals (51%) see the media coverage as "fair", even in those categories, those that perceive a bias see one in favor of Obama (Dems -- O-27%, M-10%; Libs -- O-30%, M-13%)
I also disagree with Anglachel with regard to the skewing of the poll. It does skew more Conservative
/Republican than what one is likely to see in the general election -- but unlike in most of the questions, the "media fairness" numbers are so extreme that the skewing can't make a significant difference when it comes to the overall perception of the media.
