If you have "no place to go," come here!

What Matt said

Reagan was a psychotic man who nearly blew up the world and used paranoia and fear to change our culture and government in horrible ways. He also wasn't particularly popular, though as a politician, he's worth admiring for his raw political skill. Conservative ideology is based on greed and fear. There's no such thing as a good conservative leader, period. It is a fundamentally bankrupt, corrupt, and fraudulent ideology, and there is nothing laudable about people like Reagan who tap into the worst of America.

So why is Obama praising him? True belief? Cynicism?

It certainly can't be an attempt to appeal to CoRe (Cult of Reagan) republicans. There's no way in hell he would draw votes from that self-delusional crowd.

he used when he dove to shake Bill O'Reilly's hand.

I'm sorry, but a person this politically clueless doesn't even deserve to be considered as our nominee for the highest office in the land.

O'Reilly, on the other hand, is going after Edwards nastily. and Edwards is fighting back.

just wonderful. "it's not about me, it's about all those without a voice."

cmon, OFB- what's not to love in that? that's how hope is born, not "tax cuts" and "a bigger military" and "privitize SS if the rich can talk me into it."

yeah. the scales have been lifted. thanks O-man. you had me hoping for a while. but the unity thing here...unity with the reagan ideal? the reagan persona? the reagan legend? the reagan supporters? well. let's just say there's a time for unity and there's a time for fixing dinner. and a time for cooking dinner. and a time for chopping dinner down. um. that is to say. i'm hungry.

less than filling (of, by, for...)

that is, unless you clean stalls for a living. i have, i know. ;-) and i'll say this: slopping in the feed every day, or mucking out the stalls every night- either way, you wish you could use the muscles you engender there upon other things. and run free beyond the Corral, but that's another metaphorical blog post with a youtube, innit? Unity Ponies never bolt, they never flicker or shy. that much i know; it's why we buy them for the 'disabled children's ride' at the political pen of this year's circus.
