Who wants to bet Drudge actually gets the news first?
Gotta go. Wake me if it's Hillary.
NOTE You mean... You mean the suspense is all a fundraising scam?!?!?!
Obama told reporters on Thursday he's already made his choice, and aides have used the prospect of a text-message announcement to try and attract additional supporters by soliciting their cell phone numbers and e-mail addresses.
Say it isn't so!

Pelosi's Pick: (not-John) Edwards= vetted
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cg...
"... Edwards is a favorite of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who praised his "extraordinary credentials" on ABC's "This Week" on Aug. 3 and said: "I hope he will be the nominee."
One Democratic official with knowledge of the conversation said Obama told Pelosi recently that she would be pleased with the choice. Other Democratic officials said he was on the short list. All spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss Obama's selection process.
Edwards, chairman of the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Subcommittee, is a nine-term moderate Democrat representing the GOP-leaning Texas district. He is well-known in Texas but does not have a national profile. ..."
oh, noes
pleasenotChet, pleasenotChet, pleasenotChet
(for purely selfish reasons)
He's a moderate-to-conservative Dem who has fended off all rivals in an otherwise Republican-leaning district...even with the brutal redistricting. Republicans vote for him. The loyal (and crazy) opposition fields crappy candidates against him on a regular basis...and we'll get stuck being represented by a republican...and one with no seniority...if Chet wins this nomination. He is a very straight arrow and often votes in that icky moderate, conciliatory way. So much so that although I honestly like and respect him and my daughter volunteers for his campaign, I ripped his bumpersticker off my car in a fit of fury and wrote such a hot letter to the editor that it was spiked. (Habeus was the issue, IIRC). He's got cred with the military, having been Fort Hood's and VA's champion for years.
He definitely would NOT challenge BO's perceptions at all. Evah. They are peas in a pod politically.
