Waiting for the attack on Fort Sumter
Nuclear power plant technicians, senior military officers, FBI contractors and an employee of “a highly-secretive Department of Defense agency” with a Top Secret clearance. Those are just a few of the more than 100 people with sensitive military and government connections that law enforcement is tracking because they are linked to “outlaw motorcycle gangs.”
A year before the deadly Texas shootout that killed nine people on May 17, a lengthy report by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives detailed the involvement of U.S. military personnel and government employees in outlaw motorcycle gangs, or OMGs. A copy of the report was obtained by The Intercept.
For years the radical right has been infiltrating law enforcement and the military.They have organizations such as Oath Keepers for the precise purpose of undermining the authority of the elected government.
All the conspriacy theories concerning the Jade Helm military exercises are part of a larger effort to discredit any federal government not controlled by Republicans.
Lefties are not the only ones talking about revolution. The right is even more excited about the prospect. If you follow the right you know that they read not only Saul Alinsky, but also Lenin, and are the real radicals. They even admire them. According to David Brock, Norquist keeps a portrait of Lenin.
What I am trying to say is that the key event will not be a new version of the Boston Tea Party, nor storming the Bastille, nor a charge on the Winter Palace. It will arrive with the 21st century version of the attack on Ft. Sumter.
I sometimes think that these budget impasses the states keep having is a deliberate attempt at a Leninist attempt to "heighten the contradictions" on the part of the kleptocracy. They really do live in a world of their own and really do think that they can create their own reality.
If Bernie Sanders does win the Presidency, our first job will be making sure he does not wind up like Salvador Allende.
