If you have "no place to go," come here!

Too bad there's no party to run this ad...

... except with the name changed.

To Barack Obama.

Because it includes, by implication, the idea that being a Republican is not a good thing. Ah, if only the FKDs had seized the day in 2008 and actually RUN AGAINST THE TATTERED REPUBLICAN BRAND... If only they had actually pointed out how they differed from it... how badly done the country was by Republican policies...

But the FKDs (or their fearless leader, anyhoo) didn't actually differ from it: and now, who remembers how low the R brand had sunk. And their policies have been substantially pushed forward, without hardly any R votes even.

Waytago, O! [/snark]

Obama was not Bush. Over and over again. Republicans suck. Obama isn't Bush.

The problem is that the Obama product didn't live up to the marketing campaign. Obama is, in fact, Bush, with a soupcon of Reagan thrown in just for sh*ts and giggles. And the Democratic product has the same problem.

Against the Republicans, no. He could hardly even bring himself to utter the word "Democrat", and he didn't have much in the way of coattails because he provided no argument for voting D rather than R.

Quite the opposite, in fact, because he was so wedded to his damnable idea that "partisanship" was what ailed us.

Good point.

Here's the ad I want to see. Use the clips of Obama wave surfing or whatever he was doing when he had the photo op in his swimsuit and photo-shop in some tar balls from the Gulf spill.
