C-SPAN Discussion of HR 676 Tuesday Night
John Conyers and other Members of Congress will take to the floor of the House of Representatives Tuesday evening, June 10, to lead a discussion of HR 676, single payer healthcare legislation. HR 676 now has 90 co-sponsors in the House, more than any other health care bill.

Grrr, Kucinich's articles of impeachment
are still being read, at 9:30, according to my mother who promised to record it for me.
Might be a mini-lesson in politics as the art of the possible versus political purity.

Gob, I don't know you. I don't know your mom. But I know
you're wrong about the importance of those articles of impeachment.
Dennis Kucinich is the last man left in Washington -- or anywhere else in a national political party -- with the cojones to do his dead level best to see the right thing through.
HR 676 can wait a bit.
I want the articles voted on.

Well, I said "might be a lesson" -
I'm pretty unsophisticated about political priorities. I hope some good comes of Kucinich's actions. My comment was meant both to spare people the trouble of rushing to their TV and to possibly provoke a conversation about the priorities, timing, etc.
Besides striking a blow for the national honor - and I'm not trying to belittle the importance of that - what might come of getting a vote on the articles?
(And leave my mother out of it :-)

kucinich
he and conyers together were the original architects of hr 676, so his articles of impeachment are interrupting discussion of his health care proposal.
even if we never get to a trial [held by the senate] formally charging this administration and proceeding with investigations are awfully important. getting as much of this aministration's wrongdoings into the public record as possible may even be more important than actually removing either bush or cheney from office at this point.
