If you have "no place to go," come here!

Third world country watch

ABC:

With more than 16 million low-income U.S. children on Medicaid not receiving dental care -- or even a routine exam -- in 2009, according to the Pew Center on the States, dentists and ERs say they are treating very young patients with teeth blackened from decay and bacteria and multiple cavities.

Well done. Peasants should suffer.

All part of reducing life expectancy!

No joke, the awesomest thing about making it to the top of the bottom 20 percent is having real dental insurance for the first time in more than a decade. It's still spendy, but all those years of not having dental means kid needs 2 crowns, 5 fillings, 2 extractions and one of those painful deep cleanings.

Kids die from lack of dental care.Like literally die, from infections that spread to their heart. What medicaid sometimes covers (sometimes) is cleanings, fillings and extractions. If you can find a dentist who takes it. And can deal with 6 month waiting lists. And that's only for kids. There is no dental for most adults. My mouth is shit, but Kid gets taken care of first. Maybe next year for me.
