The Mighty Wurlitzer #FAIL

The Republicans used to be good at ginning up a scandal. This year, we had Solyndra, Fast And Furious, and Benghazi. All damp squibs.

Of course, there was an actual, major scandal in that Obama refused to prosecute a single bankster CEO for amply documented accounting control fraud. But that was "off the table" for some reason.

I remember a Speaker lady saying Impeachment is off the table. Then a new historic president saying we must move forward instead of holding the torturers accountable. He winked at the wiretappers and the eavesdroppers. The whistle blowers and Youtube film makers are picked up and imprisoned with Bradley Manning. The bankers and and snake charmers get off scott free.

same as it ever was.

you can be sure that all manner of scandal would have been generated had Obama prosecuted banksters. One reason that he has gotten a free ride from the kleptocracy is that he has not done anything to upset them.

but I am glad he was reelected. that means we can concentrate on taking on the kleptocracy and not have that awful more and better Democrats conversation.

but because it was largely followed by Fox News, no one took it seriously.

Really - a terrorist group levels our largely-undefended embassy compound in a hostile country, killing our ambassador, deliberately on the anniversary of Sept. 11 (what really turned out to have happened) and the Obama spin machine concocts a story out of thin air that there was a protest over an obscure film, which story it pushed for about 3 weeks before the truth came out. Just how political was that? 100% mislead the public to improve Obama's chances in the election.

The bit about whether or not the embassy should have been better defended, etc. is just distraction from what I think is the greater outrage. Like the former Soviet Union, the government just flat out lied about what happened and continued to lie as long as it could.

This is a really blatant example showing why our 'news' media should stop taking government press releases (such as the one about the recent 'Iranians shot at our drone' report) at face value. But they continue to do it de rigeur.
