The rot at Komen starts at the top.

Nancy Brinker is going nowhere, this is her piggy bank. Karen Handel just learned the hard way the most dangerous place in the world is between Nancy Brinker and a buck.

This entire thing was about money, that's all, the top of Komen were convinced by people like Handel they could end grants to PP and end boycotts by anti-abortion groups and no one would complain about it. When that proved to be a bad call, they moonwalked it back for the dollars and to protect their "brand", too late, hopefully.

Umbrella charities like Komen are basically parasites sucking on the blood host of people's sympathy. If you are interested in a charity, or in this case, a cure, give directly to, for example the National Institute for Health's Breast Cancer fund at the National Cancer Institute and cut out the "bundler" fundraisers and their multi-million dollar salaries.
