Interesting land reform article in the Bangkok Post. Somebody a lot more knowledgeable than I am will have to say whether this is kabuki from the local oligarchy, genuine reform, or -- rather like the Baucus/Obama approach to health care -- just enough reform to ease the pain for a few and set the rest to fighting among themselves. Nevertheless, the story is interesting because it shows at least somebody is thinking, no matter the nature of the thoughts. And it seems that land reform would be a Red Shirt concern. Dunno. No doubt I'm missing many local subtleties, and using the US lens.
