Congressionally Approved Torture Tools for Lobbying

Since both the White House and Congress no longer consider prosecuting torture as a crime, it is safe to assume that we can begin to legally use these methods as legitimate tools to lobby our Congress and White House for the real changes we expect from our government. These methods that I document will be equally applicable to those who lobby against the interests of average American citizen on these issues.

Congressionally Approved Method of Lobbying #1

Method for lobbying Congressional members and White House administration officials that push for funding of energy non-solutions such as the proven mythical "clean coal":

The symbolism of turning their mythical clean energy into a tool for lobbying for real clean energy solutions ought to shock them into doing the right thing.

Celebration ... Come ON! (Substance over style)

It's springtime in DC. Michelle Obama and the Bancroft Elementary School students are busy:

Daily Mail Photos

The London Daily Mail takes note:
"First lady Michelle Obama got her hands dirty has she planted the first fruit and vegetable seedlings in the new White House garden.
She pulled on brown gloves and a red waterproof and trainers and got down on her knees to help plant alongside a group of 25 eager fifth-graders from a local school.
And she said the Obamas could be enjoying salads fresh from the garden within weeks.
Designed as a year-round kitchen garden, the L-shaped plot on the South Lawn will produce herbs such as oregano, sage and rosemary, vegetables including lettuce, chard and peas, and blueberries and raspberries."  Read more…

Can you tell me if what I've got is the real White House phonebook, in case the switchboard's down when I call about Scooter?

[I've been told the answer is "Yes," by an authoritative source, although YMMV because numbers do change. Welcome, Wonkette readers. Welcome, Raw Story readers. If you call, please feel free to check back here, and leave the results of your courteous, polite, civil, and dignified conversation in comments!]

See The White House Phone Directory (May 18, 2007). Because I figure the regular switchboard might be busy tomorrow, but if you've got the White House phone directory, you can just work your way down until somebody picks up. (Actually, in the spirit of CD interviewing people, it might be more interesting and fun to say "Hi! I write for ______________. Do you think that Libby's commuted sentence involved obstruction of justice? Why or why not?")

Most of the numbers in the Directory match what I've been able to glean from open sources, so it looks authentic. The offices are taken from the White House site, and the numbers are formatted like so: 1-202-555-1212 / 1-202-555-1212, where the first number is via internet search, and the second, italic number is from the Directory:

First Turd of Friday News Dump Goes "Plop!"

Idiot media has (however inadequately and infrequently) reported every time the "number of appointments at the White House by Jack Abramoff or his employees" has changed, invariably upwards. What they have never, that I've seen anyway, made note of is that Abramoff had his own plant right in the heart of the White House. His former "aide" Susan Ralston, who has been Karl Rove's right-hand woman for most if not the entire BushCo presidency reign of terror.
