On How To Get Blue Dogs to Vote for Single Payer

The same way you get any politician to fall in line. Primary their asses.

Of course, that assumes "you" want the Blue Dogs to fall in line...

Got 5$? Give it to Mark Pera

I'm going to get increasingly strident about this sort of thing, so forgive me for the polemic. But one thing Obama and I agree on: c'mon, if you've can afford a pack of smokes or a morning latte, you can send this guy five bucks. I'm not even repeating his request for $25, because I want to include the poorest of us (like me). When I get my next paycheck I'm going to send this guy what I can afford. Here's why. Also, because he's "one of us." Bottom line: primary challenges are our only entry into The Game, in the blogosphere. It's only five months before this anti-war progressive takes on the war enabling incumbent. Early money is always worth more. Bitch all you want, but if you can't get behind one or more progressive primary challengers, it's just pushing hot air.
