"The central challenge is to make health insurance affordable and accessible,"

The REAL challenge is to make HEALTH CARE affordable and accessible. Single payer would work just fine.

Let's keep reminding everyone, health insurance is not the same as health care.

I won't be able to go, but I thought some readers might be interested. I don't understand this. Why aren't they in PA, WV, or a state with a primary?

Sen. Hillary Clinton came to Michigan Wednesday and publicly urged Sen. Barack Obama to get on board plans for a proposed do-over Democratic primary.

Clinton visited the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees building in downtown Detroit in a last-minute appearance designed to pressure Obama and state lawmakers who have said they don't think the do-over proposal, which calls for a privately funded state-run primary on June 3, can or should pass the Legislature.

"I believe the families of Michigan are just as important as the families of any of any other state," The Detroit News quoted Clinton saying during her visit.

Xavier and Judy report that Clinton will be in Detroit tomorrow. I don't get it, I would think she would be living in Pennsylvania.

1) how could this have happened? the entire weight and heft of the right-wing blogosphere stood behind a campaign to change the house leadership and nothing happened. kos holds a putz-fest in vegas and virtually the complete democratic establishment comes to kiss his ring. is the right wing blogosphere only capable of getting congressional types to give us a few minutes of their time on conference calls?

the right wing blogosphere has to deal with the facts. the politicians just aren’t that into us.
