Courtesy of correntian NWLuna, we have a Petidote with a real cat to admire today. Meet Bluewit, who has a story attached to his name, but we'll let NWL tell it, mostly because I don't know what it is.
I'm not sure if Bluewit is singing in this picture or if the vet asked him to open wide and say "Ahhhh" or if he's just bored with us, although I'm leaning toward the latter. If we're lucky, NWL will come by and tell us more about this handsome guy. Read below the fold...
Today's Petidote comes from Correntian jjmtacoma, who sent in this shot of her beautiful cat, Apple.
Apple is a domestic long hair (I think) and she came to live with us almost a year ago. I don't know where Apple comes from, my neighbor took her in as a homeless cat but after a year she still wasn't getting along with their other cat so they offered her free to a "good home". We don't know Apple's age but she is probably more than 5 years old.
Kiki is brought to us by jjmtacoma, she of "Cheap Eats" fame and much more. Here's what jjmt had to say about the wonderfully wide-eyed Kiki:
This is Kiki, my tuxedo cat. She is about seven or eight years old. We adopted her as a rescue kitty about 4 years ago. I thought this picture of her laying on my kitchen table would be perfect!
This is Rita Meter Maid but it doesn't really matter what anyone calls her because she won't come. Rita is terrified. Her human family moved away and left her living under the deck of their abandoned house. She gave birth to four kittens under that deck. They were all rescued by R.A.I.N.* and are currently living in an unused bathroom at a local church. Volunteers visit the Rita and her kittens every day and people often will take kittens wrapped in blankets to hold while they work or attend meetings. Read below the fold...
18 month old rescue, part Siamese, part insane, 15 pounds and fabulously passive-aggressive.
At the request of Valley Girl, who has contributed the title for this post, I give you all Steve.
In this pic I am trying to message Jerz and Twig about something likely extremely inconsequential, or plant invasive in nature. Steve on the other hand has brought me his brush and decided it is time for him to be groomed. This is facilitated by his full stretch across the keyboard. Read below the fold...
