I just ran into some folk who know some folk, and got word on Michael Vick … the absurdity and hypocrisy of it all is just unbearable. Michael Vick gets annihilated for dogfights, and Cheney and Gonzales get cut loose for torture and genocide. Kill a dog go to jail kill a nation get a bonus. Fuck
it, nobody said life was fair. I miss you Mike. Remember baby, nobody can hold out indefinitely. Keep your head up.
Now, on to the Gulf. I’ve been hearing chatter all over the motherfuckin’ bubble (globe for those of you in need of translation) about this oil thing. Except in the Mainstream Media. Gas prices dropping and the SUV crew are driving around like peak oil was some sort of Disneyland fiction while Russia is sitting in our back yard. WTF!??
The reason gas prices are so low is because the tankers have upped the speed to get their cargo to port. This has temporarily created the illusion of excess supply, a temporary drop in prices and a ridiculous bottleneck in the Strait of Hormuz. If I were you I would buy oil all day.
I wrote about this last year, when we destabilized Somalia, I wrote about it when the carry trade first began unwinding and here we are about to go to war.

Have you looked at my financial posts? My batting average is pretty good. This isn't a recession. Have you looked at the IEA numbers? Have you looked at the treasury rates? Have you looked at the OPEC projections? Fredster this is a depression. This is de-leveraging of debt on a massive scale. All pegged to the dollar. This is that receeding of the tide just before the tsunami hits. If you bothered to look at the tankers sitting in the strait you'd see the bottleneck. Then you woudl understand this is a temporary glut. The demand destruction argument your "hinting" at has a supply destruction side your ignoring. But go ahead, run with the recession meme.

To me, he's at least as reprehensible a figure as the camp commander at Abu Ghraib. Was he the guy killing the dogs in vicious, slow, painful ways? He was the guy authorizing their paychecks and okaying their behavior. You decide which is worse.

I don't cry over animals, particualrly those lower on the food chain. I certainly don't think it should be a felony.
I have this theory
that says anyone who can't treat lower animals decently probably isn't much good when it comes to the treatment of humans.

If price goes down you can go faster, unload your tanker and get ready for another run - make more money. They are rushing to dump their cargo, which they can do fsater now that prices are low. You have everybody rushing for the exit. The war thing is incidental and will fuck up flow which will cause a slowdown amidst growing demand (from the low prices now).
