Stop the Machine claims Freedom Plaza

Freedom Plaza Is Now Ours

And we're never giving it back. Our permit for Freedom Plaza in Washington, D.C., expired, we refused to leave, and the Park Police has just proposed to let us stay for four more months.

We've agreed. We have not said that when the four months are over and the American Spring is here we will leave.

To evict the demonstrators, Obama would have to order a full scale confrontation between the Park Police and the demonstrators, with the results spread across YouTube. Clearly that would be a political disaster of epic proportions. Obama simply cannot afford it. Whatever the problems of letting the demonstrations go on, is as nothing to the political cost of shutting them down.

The weather is turning cold, they must be hoping that winter will do what the Park Police could not.

But all this costs a great deal of money. If you are not carrying a balance on your credit card, if you are in a position to make a donation, please consider doing so.

Heard some reports that in Boston and elsewhere, the cops came in and swept occupations clean. Usually in full riot gear and violently.

Here's a few bucks, and a lot of thanks, from one ninety-niner to another. I think the One-Percenters are getting nervous. :-O
