St Louis Galleria shut down in mass "die in"

Best coverage from the (agile as ever) FOX, with a lot of tweets.

Guess this didn't work.

Or this.

Or this.

All the above tweets show how the National Guard is protecting big chains. Speculating freely, one might think that was the National Guard's mission (as opposed to, say, protecting small businesses on West Florissant Avenue (though, to be fair that could have led to worse violence than property destruction (though, to be fair, it's not clear that balance figures at all in Governor Nixon's calculations)).

Also, it looks to me like the Fergusonians have been reading Sun Tzu:

“An army may be likened to water, for just as flowing water avoids the heights and hastens to the lowlands, so an army avoids strength and strikes weakness.” Sun Tzu

* * *

And then there's this in Hong Kong:

Although the Mong Kok camp was "cleared" by the police, the students return for a "shop in." Interesting confluence, then, between St Louis and Hong Kong, both attacking the consumer end of the global supply chain (though in ways appropriate to each situation).

UPDATE More from the Galeria:

Been awhile since I've seen a die-in.

Viral numbers are always clever.

And more:

Good for the Macy's workers (though others say they were on break).

Let's see if this fake DIV forces the enough whitespace for the images
