If I thought like most of today's establishment liberals, I'd have to heartily condemn Harriet Tubman. After all, the Fugitive Slave Act was the law, duly passed and enforced by all three branches of government. Instead of joining the Underground Railroad to help others like her escape from slavery by seeking asylum in Canada, she should have turned herself and her compatriots in and faced the consequences of law-breaking. Or maybe informed someone in Congress of the abuses slaves were suffering. But like the narcissist she was, she ran from the authorities.
