Shouldn't we get rid of Daylight Savings Time?

Just as the light in the morning begins to return, they take it away again!
Of course, my sleeping pattern is totally out of whack anyhow, but still; I woke up this morning and thought how pretty the light was, and now: Bam! Back to the darkness.

I don't see why it has to start in March, and early March at that. The Pacific NW has more extreme changes in length of day than most of the country (except Alaska, of course). I doubt it helps that we're once again getting up in the dark to go to work.
Yes,! It's crap
Very depressed this morning to wake up in the dark. I don't get it.

Meh. I like the morning light, but i also like having the evening light and at north of 46 degrees, it seems inconsequential. It's been more dark than light for a while, though by this time the light patterns let you know that things are changing and spring is coming whether the 9" of snow to celebrate DST makes it look that way or not.
I may also be biased. With Lake Superior due East and near, it becomes light as soon as the sun peaks over the distant horizon if not before.
It's the abrupt change that gets me!
My window faces due east. So just as my body gets adjusted to light at 6AM -- as if the earth were slowly tilting, or something -- Bam! Daylight Savings time kicks me right back to darkness. I wish they'd make it go away.
