Scotch independence

Mr [Alex] Salmond [of the
ScotchScottish National Party] has made it clear he would keep the Queen in an independent Scotland, that Scotland would retain the pound and also apply to join Nato – all of which have sparked fierce opposition from left-wingers in the independence camp.
Danger! Danger!
A country that is not sovereign in its own currency is not sovereign. Does Salmon really want the City of London to turn a newly independent Scotland into the next Greece? That would certainly be an ironic outcome.

We don't need no blended Scotches
Single Malt!
That's the theory we came up with in high school about
...how they were able to punch above their weight during the eighteenth century.
single malt is a great slogan
which exactly what the Bank of England would do.
Scottish National Party (SNP)
not the Scotch National Party - which would take place in Scottish bars, of course.
OK, OK....
... fixed, heh.
I wondered about that!
I am part Scottish, and was always told that it is 'Scottish', not Scotch! I think they may have been lowland Scots, who may have played both sides. I really do not know. However, Robert Bruce is a family name, so maybe not. I would be glad to see Scotland be an independent country.
