More on the Pat Roberts/FISA fiasco. Get a load of this:
After a two-hour closed-door session, Senate Intelligence Chairman Pat Roberts, R-Kan., said the committee adjourned without voting on whether to open an investigation. Instead, he and the White House confirmed that they had an agreement to give lawmakers more information on the nature of the program. The White House also has committed to make changes to the current law, according to Roberts and White House deputy press secretary Dana Perino.
What's wrong with this picture?
The executive branch doesn't "make changes in the law"! That's the job of the legislative branch. And if the executive, besides enforcing the law, also writes it (as here), and interprets it (through signing statements) that's tyranny as the Founders understood it. That's tyranny, and that's what the Founders set up our system of checks and balances to avoid.
Republicans can't stop wetting the bed, and piss away the Constiution. Pitiful.
