My ride to the airport is arriving earlier than I expected, so I don't have time for a photo essay, just this one photo:

This is the same garden that had the floral swing; it also had what I swore was a raised bed and turned out to be just that; notice the swale between the beds doing its moisture-capturing thing at lower left. And notice one thing about all:

The plants are mulched!!!

NOTE So, gotta go. Through the miracle of the International Date Line I'm going to arrive at JFK the same day I leave (that is, August 4, I leave at two in the morning). You all have the keys to the car...
