Lantana camara
Spanish flag
A classic from old fashioned gardens, Lantana grows 3-4'. It's a pretty common annual (tender perennial zones 10-11 where it naturalizes fast and is listed as highly invasive), all parts of the plant are mildly toxic.
Also known as "shrub verbena" it is a woody plant, it blooms mid-summer through fall generally, is fragrant and a good pollinator attractor.

easy to love
It's very easy to fall in love with Lantana, with the multicolored blossoms, its durability and pest resistance.
Don't you just love the little unopened blossoms that are perfect little square pillows?
I keep finding new colors and new spots to plant them. So cheerful!
