Bugsy

Bugsy the cat

Today's Petidote is courtesy of Correntian smott999. Here's Bugsy's back story:

Bugsy's full name is Bugs Bunny for his propensity to hop around like a rabbit when he was a kitten, at food-time! He’s a Pennsylvania Snowshoe (part Siamese), a breed I didn’t even know existed when I got him at Petland 17 years ago. Yes, 17!

It may be hard to tell in the pics, but the poor guy lost an eye winter 2010 due to a very rare form of cancer. So it’s 2 years since he had his surgery and he is doing quite well, though he no longer can chase chipmunks or rabbits with the same success due to single-eye triangulation issues! His favorite sport is now basking on his porch in the sunshine!

Since his eyes are closed in the first shot, here's another look at Bugsy from before surgery. As you can see, it doesn't matter how many eyes he has -- what an adorable face!

Bugsy

Thanks for the pics, smott999. He's a sweetie!!

And beautiful at the ripe old age of 17. Best wishes for many many more kitty years.

such a peaceful expression, like he doesn't have a care in the world. Oh to be a cat, with a full-time human taking care of all the messy real life stuff!

Is subject to interpretation....

Though we think that we take care of our pets...

Perhaps the truth is... they take care of us, yes?

PS Bugsy has been "quite" full of himself today! I think he knows he made print LOL!....
