If you have "no place to go," come here!

Our stupid, lazy, well-paid, and insured press

Jonathon Wiseman:

If the American people are growing weary of the protracted Democratic nomination fight, they've got nothing on the candidates, their staffs or their staffs' families.

Yes, except no.

I mean, 11 million people tuned in to the Philadelphia debate. That doesn't sound like they're weary to me.

And the voters in NC and IN (not to mention PA) are thrilled that their votes are going to mean something this year.

Sure, the Village is tired. But that's because the village doesn't know what hard work means. Of course they're tired.

No votes yet

1. the progressive blogs ain't all that progressive after all

2. the news media ain't much in the business of informing and reporting

3. Both groups are privileged elites who don't care much for bread and butter issues but get a chill up their legs either through awesome speech or manly man rhetoric

Not very appealing.

That is a great observation on the media and something that I just really thought to the extent of where you went.
Why would the press care? they don't have a vested insterest besides selling papers in who is elected.
There are no reporters that cover the angle of the poor voter and what is in their best interest. Or the interest of a voter like me, who is in job transition after 23 years. This new world of body language and desperate housewives is very alien to me. I am really concerned about woman's rights again, now that I am back out there and seeing how slanted it is towards stereotypical females.

It's distressing to see the media spin, and am including NPR in this of Obama. How little the things he says and does is scrutinized and nit-picking legalism they use with Hillary, it's like "The Worst of the Ante-Bellum Years" relived for women. Why do women have to be quiet, passive, good-looking, and ego boosting? What barbarella fairy tale was this image of woman dredged out and promoted with such viciousness as "our natural state". Someone get the jello mold!
Holy batcow, barbie.
Hillary is the best person for the job, but for me she is the best person to help me and my interests in the office of President of the United States
Hello Madame President.

BTW why does the media assume that every AA out there is going to vote for Obama, I expect every AA out there to vote for Hillary, she is the best choice for minorities both wealthy and disadvantaged.

Democrats never agree on anything, that's why they're Democrats. If they agreed with each other, they'd be Republicans -- Will Rogers

To be fair, dKos in particular has ALWAYS been about process and meta issues first and foremost.

are those who have run out of cackles, cleavages, and haircuts to pontificate about.

voters otoh, are turning out in droves, both voting and registering as democrats in record numbers. one hopes that voters still count for something in elections.
