On The Convention

I sincerely hope everyone is on the same page as I am. Which is to say: I've been thrown out of better parties than this. Seriously, is this Event an example of "the democratic process of a republic of laws," or a great, big, dope consuming, cock-sucking extravaganza? It's hard to tell from the "progressive" blog coverage. Hint: bloggers who are there should not be dazzled by 'exclusive' party invites. They're so easy to get if you're Hip, and bragging of such reveals how lame one really is if one speaks of it. Real Players are otherwise oriented, discoursively. Figure that out, liberal bloggers, and the Powers will start taking you seriously. Until then, you're nothing more than minor star-fuckers, and Little People bought off by cheap teevee-grade bbq. yo.

Fuck me, at least I can dance and speak languages other than Engrish. I don't think the lamest of my parties sounded this...pathetic.

jeebus my life sux. but anyway, i'm very tired (already) of the blogospherical coverage of the convention. "look at me! i'm rigtht next to a SCLM whore! i'm kewl!'

...i guess this just proves the need for the PB2.0. hello: starfucking is a waste of your time, and your readers'. we all get that, right? just as we get that the Village is abhorred because starfucking is its central motivation? i guess not, and no, i'm not bitter. i turned down going there for free and paid for by others, for a reason. i'd rather wipe my bedridden grandmother's ass, than be at that fellatio-fest. call me in 2012. that's the soonest that progressives will be relevant to this process.

None of this going away until 2012. The plan is that we're getting ready for 'em now and that's going to take money, effort, and cunning.

Our cunning links us.

Heh. Say it out loud. Don't be shy how.

(Hope the headache ease. The rest of the pain, sigh---I got nothing.)

and don't leave out the lesbiana; Big Donna is in town and you know that carpet's getting cleaned.

I was a delegate for Bill Scranton in '64 and that was a great party, as much as I can remember. Have I told that story here? Repressed Republican women, all liquored up, like snacks at a first-class buffet; I was a bad, bad boy. Four days and nights of that would kill me now.

Some political stuff also happened.

I was watching a clip this weekend of David Gregory's minstrel moment playing along with "MC" Karl Rove before the entire Village, and a bunch of rage welled up again, and then I told myself I was over-reacting again, and then I told myself I wasn't.

That kind of behavior is appropriate for maybe the end of a school term for the faculty-student follies at the Spring Social, but that's about it, really. But we've known for years that DC is a glorified HS cafeteria.

But you know, if some bloggers are genuinely excited by BHO and his candidacy and this party in this election, and clearly some are, I say let them go and have a good time.

Judging by all the blegging I see, they're paying their own way, yes?

The corruption is already in the process. You already know they've been hand-picked for their fealty. And if one is so hopped up on Hope that you'll work your valuable blog brand into his:

(Sigh...)

Well, what can you do? They're learning the access-for-favors lessons now, when the stakes are low, and they'll be positively Pavlovian in case one of them finds him or herself in the bigtime.

But if this cycle is to be broken, where does that start? With some hapless, starry-eyed blogger, or with people who are in a position to break the cycle and not pass out favors to the best-behaved little doggies?

Once again...

Where's the change?

Our band worked with an agent who booked us into crappy dives (the "Club Oasis"), shorted us on money, but got himself quoted on the front page of the Milwaukee Journal, describing himself as a "cunning linguist".

He was still an asshole.

Well, probably most of its equivalents. I've gotten tossed out of 'em, too. Classy joints.

And dude may have been an asshole and robbed ya, but that's a pretty good pun, with double points for getting it in a newspaper.
