On Obama's (temporary) removal of his 2002 war speech

Great post by Jack and Jill politics.

I don't agree with it, but it's still a great post.

Gee, there's something to be said for old school blogging, isn't there?

because it gives Obama a pass for removing the speech by saying "It's possible that Obama or his campaign removed the speech because of it's [sic] age."

No, it wasn't. Obama's excuse is flimsy. Note that he attributes it to "a judgment that the speech was dated" (whose judgment?) and "my staff's desire to continually provide fresh news clips." (Blame the staff, not him.) Either you stand by what you said or you don't.

I think it was pulled off the site because he didn't want it used against him in his Senate race. BC noticed and called him on it so it went back up.

another blogger ethics panel. how dare they correct and update their website to reflect facts and reality, despite the way it makes Obama possibly look bad!

good comments over there too. again, i find myself not caring at all over this non issue, and much more concerned with the way the OFB seems content to shout about BHO's "war vote" but ignore his voting record on say, amendments to attach a time table to war funding.
