Oh, the humanity!
Hillary insists on saying at every opportunity that she is winning the popular vote.
My God! Don't these pesky voters understand that our famously free press is perfectly willing and able to pick their President for them? Just like 2000 and 2004? What's wrong with them?
And you'd think -- although of course you'd be wrong -- that when the press "throws its support" to anyone (in our case, Obama), it just might be a good idea to at least consider supporting what they don't, given how things worked out when they chose Bush for us. Twice.
You'd expect just a wee bit of critique or the tiniest pause for reflection, especially by our tribunes of the people in what used to be the blogosphere, but which is now just the low-rent district of the MSM. But n-o-o-o-o-o ....
NOTE Anglachel has a fine point on legitmacy here. All this would have been solved long ago with revotes in FL and MI. Obama didn't want to do that and prevented it. Now, as bringiton has laboriously pointed out, the fix is in, a deal has been constructed, and the powers that be will have a shouting match, followed by a long and liquid lunch, followed by handshakes all around. Let us remember, however, that justice must be done, and be seen to be done.
