Ocean Acidification - the snail shells are dissolving

These days, almost everyone is aware that rising carbon dioxide levels are causing global warming. However, the enormity of another associated problem is underappreciated - ocean acidification.

A new scientific publication this week showed evidence of extensive dissolution in marine snail shells.
