Hopefully, Americans (and especially "progressives") won't fall for something this obvious. But who knows?

already working their way through the Senate and House, which will allow for targeted strikes "in the event that Assad does not give a satisfactory accounting of Syria's chemical weapons."

Allen is the Washington Bureau Chief of Politico.

So all this IS "Kabuki Theater."

[And this "pause" also gives the WH and the Dem Party a chance to collude with corporatist Repubs to begin to dismantle our social insurance programs by the end of the year.--This part is my sentiment, not Allen's.]

The only reason Pooty-Poot (as Dubya called him) sees the light is because Pres. Obama is making him feel the heat.

I think @PaulBegala really believes it. Amazing how so many otherwise cunning political operatives can be so good at fooling themselves
