Seriously, it's a great rant and you should check it out. Not that I wasn't already there for other reasons, but I'm very glad to see more and more people join us out here in the Wilderness. What happened in Maine could've been prevented, with just a modicum of effort on the part of national Dems. But they think gay people are icky, and couldn't be bothered to help us. Oh, and it's all John's fault for being mean to them, or something.

It's John's fault
for supporting the anti - gay candidate in the primary.

Exactly. Who you gonna vote for? The candidate who meets with you, or the candidate who doesn't? Avarosis (I decline to call him "John") sowed in order that he might reap, and now he is.

Amazing statement at the start though
What were you drunk the entire year and can't recall it?
Sounds more like there were some donations and now its time for buyer's remorse and some heavy doses of selective amnesia.
damn you people are a harsh crowd!
fine, gang up on John. he's a silly drama queen a lot of the time, i can understand.
but Jesse's piece was pretty damn good. like i said, i'm happy that more and more people are coming out of the O-closet and getting serious about calling the administration out for being the way it is. my bad, i thought folks here would like that.
/goes back to lurk mode/
Surprised?
But take it as one metric for general pissed-off-ness in the unterbussen blogosphere. Which, since we have some sort of outlet, is probably a proxy for even more pissed-off-ness in the general population...

I thought that Jesse's piece was outstanding
really a blogosphere classic. Great find!
As for Aravosis, he didn't just pick the wrong candidate, he repeatedly attacked the candidate who has marched in gay pride parades and called for the end of DADT.
People who don't defend their friends won't have any friends.
That Obama campaiged with Donnie McClure was an instant give away. How could anyone, gay or otherwise misunderstand the implication of that???? Jesse Jackson never campaigned with people like that and he won South Carolina.
I, too, found it outstanding
and dead right.
