#Eating [Update]

I posted information about a young man from Pahokee, FL working to establish a community garden in his home town. Thanks to Twig and anyone else who donated to the kickstarter.

With eight days left, the goal of $35,000 was reached tonight and the project is funded by 901 backers and counting.

I also happened across and ESPN video about the Pahokee H.S. football team that shed some more light on the city. The sugar mill that had employed 1000 people closed a few years ago. In a city of around 7,000 that kind of employment loss spells doom. This project is probably more important than any of us who donated will ever know.
