It's getting very foily out there.

TOLEDO, OH -- Mayor Carty Finkbeiner on Friday ordered some 200 members of Company A, 1st Battalion, 24th Marines from Grand Rapids, Michigan, out of Toledo just before the unit was supposed to start a weekend of urban warfare training downtown.

The mayor’s spokesperson, Brian Schwartz said, “The mayor asked them to leave because they frighten people. He did not want them practicing and drilling in a highly visible area."

This sounds like it was a set-up. The former police chief got very pissed off when the mayor said "no more" the last time this training took place... but someone no one in the police department found out about the mayor's objections?

And the Marine Corps never liased with the mayor's office? Just the police?

This:

Bye Bye Mr Treason

Dear Mr. Mayor,
I really hope you understand why we can't come save you today from that mean old terrorist who has a knife to your throat asking you to denounce God and learn to speak only arabic while forcing your wife to wear a burka. We were asked to leave your city.
Sincerely,
The Marines

born and raised there, baybee. home of the northing wingnut, fer sure. and let's not forget Mr. Prince's magic buckaneer squads.

but this seems "perfectly normal" to me. who has jobs these days, anyway? the military should treat this country as a practice ground for killing fields, it's the only growth industry we have any more. citizens should see up close what all those trillions are buying.
