If you have "no place to go," come here!

Neo-liberal gutting of the VA continues according to plan

Once again, the Fiscal Times, eeeww!

In no other organizational structure except a government-run single-payer system would this take place. If these veterans had a choice of where to seek medical care, they would not have abided average wait times of 115 days to see a doctor, let alone waiting months just to show up on a wait list in the first place. Only the lack of all other options kept these veterans trapped in the nightmare of VA systems, in Phoenix and around the country.

Only in a government-run system like this would fraud have gone undetected by executive management, because customers would have walked out long before circumstances reached the extremis discovered by the IG.

A classic example of neo-liberal truth!

It's true that "In no other organizational structure except a government-run single-payer system would this take place." That's because -- IMNSHO, I'm not going to be posting much that's very long until my router returns to sanity -- the neo-liberals overloaded it and then underfunded it, all by government policy!

In other words, we don't have a VA problem at all. We have a neo-liberal sabotage problem. Oh, and the Democrats are fully co-operating in the kayabe, too. Obama's first move has to nudge privatization a little more forward.

NOTE I haven't seen the post combining the VA wait times scandal to the Canadian wait times talking point; but I'm sure that will come.

Really? Is there some law I don't know about that forbids veterans from accessing health care on the open market like anyone else? Don't we have the best health care system in the world?
