Literally.

Character assassination by muckraking the candidate's wife's horse is pretty lame. Surely Democrats can dig up some bad grades or pot smoking by his kids, some racist comment one of his adult relatives made? Let the vetting begin.

Because there really aren't any issues you can attack Romney on? It's tough to find a slam dunk against him? Even with his own conservative nuttery and misstatements to use? Really? Well then sling that mud and see if the sh*t sticks.

The totally drugged out horse named Superhit!

Normally I agree with you and don't go for that stuff much anymore (though back in the day I used to do it a lot). But this is just so over the top.

(Not that abusing animals is funny... Which actually reminds me that one of the few actual bright lines between the R and D aristocracies is that the Rs abuse animals and the Ds don't.)

he'd have to outsource her role in the family. So, she had no choice but to juice the horse so it would look, well, super and get the highest price possible.

Because Bain was really big on outsourcing/finding cheapest source for most profit very early in the game, and since it was a winner then maybe Mitt applies it everywhere.

For example, if US citizens don't get jobs and pay sufficient taxes, he'll just out source their role in civic life. Or...he'll bring in H3 immigrants to do their non-jobs and make the immigrants pay money on their non-jobs. Or something. /snark

and in taking over firms and then outsourcing jobs to cheaper locations such as China. Made a lot of money for Romney. But now he's talking a different line to persuade voters to vote for him as the "job creator" and job saver. Heh.

Mitt Romney’s financial company, Bain Capital, invested in a series of firms that specialized in relocating jobs done by American workers to new facilities in low-wage countries like China and India.

During the nearly 15 years that Romney was actively involved in running Bain, a private equity firm that he founded, it owned companies that were pioneers in the practice of shipping work from the United States to overseas call centers and factories making computer components, according to filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

While economists debate whether the massive outsourcing of American jobs over the last generation was inevitable, Romney in recent months has lamented the toll it’s [massive outsourcing] taken on the U.S. economy. He has repeatedly pledged he would protect American employment by getting tough on China.

“They’ve been able to put American businesses out of business and kill American jobs,” he told workers at a Toledo fence factory in February. “If I’m president of the United States, that’s going to end.”

SNIP

But a Washington Post examination of securities filings shows the extent of Bain’s investment in firms that specialized in helping other companies move or expand operations overseas. While Bain was not the largest player in the outsourcing field, the private equity firm was involved early on, at a time when the departure of jobs from the United States was beginning to accelerate and new companies were emerging as handmaidens to this outflow of employment.

Bain played several roles in helping these outsourcing companies, such as investing venture capital so they could grow and providing management and strategic business advice as they navigated this rapidly developing field. (My emphasis)

Projecting much, Mitt?

He must have an Etch-a-Sketch memory to be able to flip so easily, when it's so easily checked. He did get dispensation from the Mormon leadership to lie about his beliefs and proposed agenda in order to win voters over in MA -- for the "greater good" of having Romney in office and, perhaps, eventually president?

Hhhmmm--so, who's worse about this? Obamney? Romney gets dispensation, so lies glibly. Not so sure Obama would get that from his church or church leadership, which may explain why he has such trouble explaining what he's doing and wants to do. Interesting.

And utterly terrible choice for the American voters.
