In deadpan yet hilarious fashion, the article quotes an AEI "scholar" (funded MOTU propagandist) to the effect that the only thing standing between millions more falling into poverty is the safety net.
Which is why they're trying to shred it, of course. Making more Americans poor is a feature, not a bug.
