Pretty normal:
This Afternoon
|
Snow...heavy at times this morning. Blowing snow with frequent visibility one quarter mile or less. Additional snow accumulation of 3 to 6 inches. Total snow accumulation 14 to 22 inches. Windy with highs around 18. North winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. Chance of snow near 100 percent. |
Tonight
|
Patchy blowing snow in the evening. Cloudy with scattered snow showers in the evening...then partly cloudy after midnight. Cold with lows around 6 above. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Chance of snow 50 percent. |
It seems that the really heavy accumulation was down South. Once again, Maine dodges the weather bullet!
So, over by this evening. The University opens at 3:00PM. In the old days, they would never have closed at all.

"The blizzard of '13"
That's the one that's just leaving NE Mass here, and the wind is ferocious, causing serious drifting. I'm just recovering from a morning with the snow blower agianst six foot drifts, and me doing the directing.
