I love the background music in that thing. Spooky. And hey, a little populism never hurt anyone -- especially if McCain and Obama both get into it. You know, all the Dems have to is pander to me on single payer! I'm a simple guy!

I'm All For People Knowing More About McCain
But two minor quibbles, I'd feel much better if people would stop using elitist and elite interchangably as this film seems to do (although I'm watching it on the QT at work, so maybe I'm wrong). They don't mean the same thing and this is starting to drive me crazy. While I think McCain is an elitist, it's not because he married into money or lives in a big house. And, really, I think we all lose when the pissing match comes down to which of the elite people runninig for president has the biggest house.
Two - I don't think those are his mansions, I think they're his wife's because McCain is basically a trophy husband and so doesn't really own anything. The people who think Cindy McCain is the trophy have it backwards, IMO. She married the handsome war vet to have on her arm and keeps him happy by supporting his little political career while she makes all the real money through her business holdings (which she has made damned sure have remained hers). I'm kind of sick of the press and Democrats marginalizing and trivializing Cindy McCain and acting like what's hers is his. Just because John McCain is the man does not mean he controls his wife or her money. If he did, wouldn't it be their money by now? It's hers, not his. He basically lives on the dole.
Having said that, I'm all for people looking into John McCain's finances and his wife's business holdings, which aren't irrelevant since like all good wealthy women with trophy husbands, she supports the little man's diversions. It keeps him happy and out of the way.

I'm glad someone finally said McCain is the trophy husband. It's funny, I was just thinking, yesterday, about how lucky McCain must feel having Cindy. Without her, he'd have never become "the maverick senator from the state of Arizona." She made that possible, which is why I always laugh when she gets portrayed as some brainless Stepford Wife. She is no such thing.
And, yes, elitism is a state of mind, not simply (or even) having wealth. If having wealth equals elitism, than I guess Kevin Federline and Britney Spears are elitists.
