U.S. needs effective counter-WMD strategy, Defense official says
The United States still lacks an effective strategy to prevent or counter the potential loss or diversion of a weapon of mass destruction somewhere in the world, according to a senior Defense Department official.
Well maybe blowing Valerie Wilson's cover and destroying her network of agents wasn't such a smart idea. And except for Scooter Libby, everyone involved in that catastrophe is still welcome in Verailles.

Don't argue in terms of intelligence at all. If you do, you'll lose. The administration knows that; many of its opponents still haven't figured it out, even now.

but the loss of the entire network monitoring the spread of nukes was a big blow.
