I read an article on Yahoo! Finance (of all places!) that said that lockouts are becoming increasingly popular with management as a means of dealing with labor unions. Current law prohibits employers from hiring permanent replacements for their unionized workforces, but they can hire "temporary" replacements for a long time, long enough to make life miserable for their unionized work force. I wonder what Richard Trumpka's solution is?
