The Guardian has fine coverage. I can't blog on this right now, for what I hope are good and sufficient reasons, but it's important to understand that this is the same fight as in WI. (Neither Rs nor Ds will tell you that, of course.) All these protesters are fighting against the neo-liberal playbook, and the same people are running the plays from that playbook, there and here.
We may see the ground in Cairo as very different the ground in Madison, and so it is, and the differences are precious; diversity is linked to survival.
The people running the playbook, however, see all the ground as the same: Resources, including "human resources," to be sucked dry and discarded.
