If you have "no place to go," come here!

Just sayin

Joseph "Joe" Robinette Biden, Jr. ... born November 20, 1942...

John Sidney McCain III (born August 29, 1936) ...

Do the math....

Now, I know if this is your very first presidential race, a six year age differential may seem like a big, big deal.

But trust me: After another presidential cycle or three, you'll see that six years matters -- but not a whole lot.

So, could the OFB wind down the hatred of the old? Thanks in advance.

Let me know what they say...

Robin- FUCKING - ETTE?!?!

I mean, "Sidney" is a pretty bad middle name.

And I thought 'Hussein' is a disasterous middle name...

but Robinette may well be worse.

Just to keep up, McCain is going to have to nominate Mike Goatfucker Huckabee.

Neither does the AUMF or "insider" status.

On the bright side, experience is now a good thing.

Lieberman (since I'm always right about such things).

Then the extremes of BOTH parties will stay home on election day.

A centrist lovefest with only sensible, centrist people.

We might even have a tie- then swear in TWO presidents and two VPs - and they can all govern from a big, round table in one of John McCain's many kitchens.

(I really shouldn't post today.)

Maybe I'll go to KOS and troll. I still have an old account there from four years ago. Think it will still work?

I suspect Obama to drop a lot of his focus on exploiting identity politics because of Biden. God, I sure hope so.

Actually, I think we'll only see a decrease in ageism and racism. I actually expect to see an increase of sexism given Biden's inclusion on the ticket.

Oh, and as for McCain's vice presidential pick, I was once of the same mind that he'd go conventional, but for some reason I'm sensing he's going to turn this thing upside down, now. I think he will play identity politics with his pick. Watch Cantor of Virginia (young and Jewish), Jindal of Louisiana (young and Indian), Powell (need I say more), and quite a few other minorities and women. If he can take away from Obama the argument that Obama is history making, alone, Obama becomes "just another politician" leaving only the issues and character to fight on. In that battle, it's a much fairer fight.

Where'd my post go?

I've always been a big Washington Irving fan- maybe that's why.

(random!)

where did DamonMI's post go?

people want to know.

Did you happen to see it when it was posted, or are you advocating for me?

I didn't see it- but I"m curious.

(Corrente has eaten my posts before- but that's usually a good thing.)

After checking through my other recent post, I can't find it. It was concerning my prediction that with Biden on the ticket we'd see a decrease in race-bating and ageism, but likely the same level or increase in sexism.

I also then went on to make a prediction about who McCain would choose as his vice president, and why.

go to your account and check your tracking tab- and maybe find it that way?

(do I seem overly concerned?)

now the suspense is killing me.

1) On Biden- are you basing this prediction on the appalling Anita Hill Hearings?

2) On vice president picks by McCain- what do you think? (and why?)

is that there's no way for anyone -- say, the site administrator -- to figure out what happened.

As you see, for whatever reason, it triggered the spam filter (which is our protection against spam).

There should have been a message, in red, that told you the message was queued -- as in fact it was, since I just approved it and took it out of the queue.

Was there no message?

But, I'm patient. I'll try a couple times, then stop and wait a few hours.

When I come back, *poof*, it's there.

But, there's never a message. Might want to get the hamster IT dept on that. I know their wheels are in the basement, and the servers on the top floor, but jeez, what kind of cut rate operation are you running here? :D

Bill Clinton for First Dude!!!

I should try one of these myself.

DamonMI:

Have you been watching the Carly Fiorina interviews?

She's REALLY onboard the McCain train.

I'm suspecting she might be the pick.

If I were McCain, that's what I'd do.

I've always thought (and still do) that the Republican Party would be more likely to elevate a woman to the White House first.

And I think that woman will look and sound like Fiorina.

(She's also a telecom insider.)

A Biden-Fiorina Debate wouldn't be pleasant for Dems.
