Joan Walsh on The Droner:

Demonizing the decent [pro-indefinite detention, pro-assassination, anti-due process, drone strike-lovin'] guy who is president
I don’t agree with every move the president has made. But I think the more Republicans try to demonize him, the more most American voters will see the difference between the GOP caricature and the man they’ve come to know. I get more pro-Obama with each vicious anti-Obama attack. I’m sure the rest of his base does, too.

Yes, that's how tribalism works. I think it's time to give this golden oldie a spin:

She is pathetic.
Personally, I'm glad that he finally has to put up with the shit that Clinton, Gore, Kerry and Hillary had flung at them.
It'll build his character. And I should be counted among his base but frankly, scarlett, I don't give a flying fuck. I've got my own problems and they might have been over by now but for the fact that useful idiots like Joan Walsh keeps fluffing Obama's junk.

It's real simple, but people like Joan Walsh just don't get it: the MOTUs are egging on the Republicans, knowing that the attacks will drive voters like Walsh right into their arms. Who, other than Obama, could possibly gut the hard won achievements of progressives in the first half of the 20th century and get away with it? I'm still predicting an Obama win by a landslide and then we will get fucked for another four years. Too bad so many Americans are blind. That's what they get for watching TV.
