It's such a fine line between stupid and clever

``The economy's pretty bad, but people are still spending money on what they want,'' said [Chaz] Harris, 20, an unemployed warehouse worker who lives with his parents in Weehawken, New Jersey. Referring to the Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. video game, he said, ``I mean, `Grand Theft Auto' did half a billion in seven days. So the economy's not that bad.''
It's a fine line, indeed, but which side is Chaz on?
I'm inclined to say the clever side. Life goes on, and business goes on, regardless.
Sunny optimism!

If By Clever...
You really mean stupid, than, yes, he's pretty...clever. I guess when folks define the economy simply by what's being produced as opposed to what's being made and the people that make it, yeah, the economy is going gangbusters. Why, McCain said it, himself. The fundamentals of the economy are strong. Remember this fundamental: "we don't need the people, we just need their checks."
Which side is he on? The Onion's side, I should think.
He sounds like one of their fake interviewees.
