Insiders dish: President Shit Magnet's mood swings are getting worse

I wonder why? And how come we never get dish like this from Lizzie "Girl Reporter" Bumiller over at The Newspaper of Record[ed Announcements from the malAdministration]?
Anyhow, looks like Shystee was doing a little push polling with that "carried aloft into a pestilent dust cloud by Pazuzu" thing. From the NY Daily News:
Presidential advisers and friends say Bush is a mass of contradictions: cheerful and serene, peevish and melancholy, occasionally lapsing into what he once derided as the "blame game."
"This is not some manager at McDonald's chewing out the help," said a source with close ties to the White House when told about these outbursts.
"This is the President [sic] of the United States, and it's not a pleasant sight."
Bush, who has a long history of keeping staffers in their place, has lashed out at aides as his political woes have mounted.
"The President is just unhappy in general and casting blame all about," said one Bush insider.
Bush is so dismayed that "the only person escaping blame is the President himself," said a sympathetic official, who delicately termed such self-exoneration "illogical."
Who's the "sympathetic official"? Spock?
A second senior Bush loyalist disagreed, saying Bush knows "some of these things are self-inflicted," like the Miers nomination, where Bush jettisoned contrary advice from his advisers and appointed his longtime personal lawyer.
"He must know that the way he did that, relying on his own judgment and instinct, was not good," another key adviser said.
Um, could this "key advisor" 'splain to me what Bush is good for, if his judgment and instinct aren't any good? Surely it's not just the photo ops?
I say Bush is hitting the sauce again ("That sloppy thudding noise you heard was Bush falling off the wagon").
Say, I wonder how the intervention went in Camp David this weekend?
NOTE Or maybe the intervention on Sunday didn't go well at all, and these oh-so-sympathetic leaks are the result of that?
