In the garden: Sunflower!
I noticed the first sunflower bloomed late yesterday evening, so here it is. There are others coming along. This year, the deer didn't eat them!
The angle is a bit odd, but that's to avoid flare from the setting sun.
No bees seem to have discovered it yet. But the bumblebees this year are sparrow-sized. Speaking of pollinators, here is some Queen Anne's Lace:
I've decided this isn't a weed because I want to do my bit for the Monarchs. Or I'd like to do my bit as, sadly, there are none. Maybe next year!
