But Bob Somerby is a god.
Truth, nuance, media critique.
Can you believe an actual human is capable of understanding — and criticizing — when lies are made about people we don't necessarily like, and of seeing that such lies are symptomatic of a dangerously sick media culture? No, I can't believe it, either.
But there he goes, doing it year after year. Well, that's 'cause he's an immortal.

Comparisons between parties and policies
are off the table now, the one because of post-partisanship, the other because the Dems have decided not to do boring bullet points about policy.
So what's left is fighting over personalities. That means the Ds have decided to fight on R turf with R methods. Now, they may win -- Obama has certainly done well so far -- but that's what they're doing.
[ ] Very tepidly voting for Obama [ ] ?????. [ ] Any mullah-sucking billionaire-teabagging torture-loving pus-encrusted spawn of Cthulhu, bless his (R) heart.
education analysis
that crack about Will was pretty funny.
Somerby
if you ever have a chance to see his comedy act, grab it. It has nothing to do with The Howler, it is a send up of American marketing culture.
Really, he should have a show on comedy central.
don't worry, VL. what is divine?
love! no gods necessary. worship away at the altar of those who tell truth and aren't afraid of Power.
...when humanity embraces that "divinity" is always and only in ourselves, so many problems will be solved, i think.
Thanks for Posting This, VL.
BTW, I'm glad that I wasn't the only one that has noticed Gene Robinson. Maybe, I didn't follow him enough in the past, but he always came across as a relatively level-headed, thoughful guy, to me. With Barack Obama 'winning' the primaries, he turned straight tribal and bat-shit crazy, and I can't even read him, anymore. He's gotten (or was/is?) absolutely unbearable.
