A scientist looked inside the cards that purportedly contained programming that gave the devices dowsing-like powers and found nothing but cheap RFID circuits, the kind found in retail anti-theft tags.

Didn't detect bombs. And didn't exactly stop the theft.

In any case, it's a prideful thing that we've exported the magic of capitalism to Iraq.
