If you have "no place to go," come here!

I guess I'm the last person in America to catch up with the Hillary-in-Congo video

Thread:

I've seen people talking around some kind of "outburst" and had been too busy with RL to know what it was about.

She didn't like being asked what her husband's opinion was, rather than her own. That's it?

Actually, by checking out the YouTube threads, one sees that there were troubling, substantive issues with her approach.

One thread, among countless similar ones, informs us thusly...

what a fat horse, what a fat bitch a royal bitch

bitch so rude

guys guys she was just on that time of the month

How would you feel if your husband got some head in the white house and brought two chicks back from N Korea. It ain't easy speaking for a pimp when he do what he do. No for real though, she can't control herself like everybody want her to if she's on her period. Look at her stomach.. All bloated. Cramps in a female dog....

She should just put a bullet in her head and make every one happy

She still knows how to scream and shout like when she was the first lady. "I am woman hear me roar.... holler..... scream..... shout..... bellow..... cry..... clamor..... bawl..... whoop.... bluster.... screech..... shriek... .shrill..... blare

i have a huge hard on right now

She looks like a bitchy ole grandma a ugly pantsuit. Must be still going through menopause with a bad case of hormone imbalance.

She is an uncharismatic bitch that no one cares about. Even the North Koreans laugh and think she is a joke. Now, we are interested about Bill Clintons opinion, because he was president and his opinion actually MATTERS.

Exactly. Makes me admire Bill...and how he put up with that man.

Hillary said don't fuck with me I'm the Secretary of state........ and I have the cock and balls to prove it .........

That was funny, I wonder if it was just a mis translation and she looks like a total Bitch, well, either way, she looks like a total Bitch.

hahaha, what a bitchy ugly bitch!

Fat, too. Let's not forget very very fat =)

Wow what a witch...glad we don't have that as president.

Holy cow look at the Fupa on Clinton.

What a beast of a woman even if the question WAS about Bill he's a former president big deal.

That bitch hillary is just jealous That here husband freed those stupid dumd ass asian reporters!

Hillarys jealousy is obvious. She is "scorned" and angry.

What a bitch. Doesn't she know her husband's opinions? It would be very hurtful for the NWO if she shared one opinion of her camel-husband to the public...after all her businness is not public affairs?!?! Duuh....nooo she's a secret agent Mata- Hari of 3rd class

Wow, she's really let herself go. She looks like dog poop. What happened to her?

You have offended Her Exellency the Great Jabba the Hutt , She now sentences you to serve 1000 years in Lord Odinga's spice mine.

Don't be a bitch Hillary!

Now you know why Bill cheated on her.

Ladies, pay close attention here. if you sound like this, your husband will cheat on you.

wow, has she gained some weight or what? either way, she seems a little testy over her husband gettin things done! maybe she has testies

Meet the new Poster Child for Menopause.

I wonder — what other group of people, besides women, can be talked about this way with virtually no outrage. If such bile were directed at, say, an ethnic group, wouldn't this kind of hate speech become a scandal?

Thus, all slurs, bigotry, and hate crimes against them are merely common profanity, disrespect, or generic violence. It's all either harmless fun, morally just, entertaining, or natural.

Also, as one HuffPo blogger put it, it's not bigotry but Hillary-ism (i.e. people had a problem with Hillary Clinton, not "all" women and girls, just like Reagan only had a problem with "welfare queens," not blacks). The best part: she writes that Secretary Clinton is experiencing bigotry now, but didn't experience it as a presidential candidate.

As proof of this I noted analysis during the primary indicating that while women as a whole were a stronghold for Clinton, younger women were not.

Young women, who just happened to have been raised on a hyper-misogynistic media diet, were not a stronghold for Clinton. Plus, it's not like a group can internalize hatred. Proof, indeed! So, in conclusion, bigotry goes on vacation when a member of that vilified group threatens to become the most powerful person on the planet! But, whoa, does it come out when you're a mere cabinet member.

Lastly, never read YouTube comments. They're the scum of the earth.

Since the V2M* are more interested in punditocracy and "gotcha" or "personality conflit" "journalism" than actual, ya know, reporting, we get stories about HRC's supposed outburst. This allows problems to be brushed under the rug.

You see it also with the "disruptors". We need to be scared of a handful of crazies who think Obama is a socialist but not the shit that Obama and the Dems--the ones who are in a position to do some real damage--are gonna do to us.

Hey, I say Fuck V2M* and our current protocols. If you want to start operating by a new set of rules, I'm with you, man.

We each have subjects that we're more attuned to than others. Stupid media narratives, sexist politics, and Clinton Derangement Syndrome are three (among others) that I've been a watchdog on. That's not meant to suggest that other topics aren't worthy or as worthy or more worthy, just what catches my eye and ear.

Your sphere includes America's policies re: Africa, a topic on which I'm not well-read, where my commentary isn't -- at present, anyway -- liable to be especially illuminating.

I heartily encourage you to use Corrente to complement what you do on B.A.R., to get the word out on that topic, one which most Americans (myself included) could stand to be much more schooled in.

Everyone has subjects they are more attuned to than others. Crickey, I didn't even start understanding the health care mess, single-payer stuff until I reconnected with Kip Sullivan. And thus found Corrente. I was paying attention to other scandals, like the Obama bailouts of Wall Street, the fact that ObamaCo. was supporting the Bush line on torture, and so forth.

Not enough hours in the day for me (and probably everyone else) to keep track of ALL about everything.

So, I would endorse what vastleft said. Your support of single payer has been awesome, Bruce. But don't take it amiss if people don't tune in immediately to the complexities of other issues that you have good reason to put at the top of your list. Please. Exactly what vastleft said-

Maybe you could write a post on how she is responsible for 5-6 million Congolese deaths? Or maybe on how what she is doing is enabling more deaths?

Either way, it would be about policies which would be a fair thing to argue about, and not about her cankles, or how she can't keep her house in order. Neither of which are as important as 5-6 million Congolese dead and are a distraction from substance.

Included several reference links too. You seem to have found it too much bother to read it, instead complaining that I had "hijacked' your thread.

... on the topic of U.S. policy toward Africa.

There's so much that many of us don't know, I'd hate to see the topic occluded by netiquette questions like why other topics are frequently covered and threadjacking. The floor is yours!

Why do you assume I didn't read your links or your comments? Why do you assume I found it too much bother?

My previous thread regarded Somerby's post on how disgusting was Dowd's criticism of Clinton's performance, as it was exclusively directed at predictable Village narratives of "The Clenis".

Since it was based on Somerby, let me use one of his more powerful constructions:

Thought one: Clinton may (or may not) be using her trip to Africa, and advocacy against sexual violence in the Congo as an excuse and pretext for past and future American imperialism on the African continent*. Thought two: the pus-filled Village once again displays it's lack of a human soul by focusing on their standard palace narratives of who is pretty and who is ugly and who is sleeping with who, rather than the actual tragedies that are occurring in the modern world, and in this particular case in Africa and the Congo.

The fact that the Dowds and so many other mainstream commentators focus on Clinton's off the cuff comments about her husband rather than what she said on her trip and the larger current and historical context should be as much of a concern to you as it is to me. Whether you agree with her comments or not, focusing on trivialities serves as a distraction to the larger issues and further dumbs our world down. Who is served by stupid?

* Having said that, you put forth an extremely serious charge. Namely that Clinton (and indeed anyone) admonishing sexual violence in the Congo and (in your words illusionary) genocide in Darfur, is (iin her case) purposefully, or (in "useful idiot's" case) negligently propogating propoganda designed solely to enable further American military imperialism and hegemony in Africa. That is a pretty sweeping and bold charge, which ignores the fact that Clinton has been an advocate of women's rights globally for decades, in the Unitied States as well as abroad. Not everyone's motives are completely impure, and I would need some substantial evidence to prove that were the case.

Here are just two videos on the child soldiers of Congo, if anyone is interested. Sadly, that was the whole point of Clinton's trip: to have people take the Congolese travesty seriously, but, of course, she herself was not taken seriously.
